If you're dreaming to reach Apo Whang-Od in the secluded village of Buscalan, start planning because here's the easiest way how, now with bus reservations through Biyaheroes!

Coming from Manila, just take the Coda Lines bus that will take you directly to Bontoc. Their terminal station is in HM Transport, Monte de Piedad/Maryland St. corner EDSA, Immaculate Concepcion, Cubao, Quezon City.

Travel time is only 8-10hrs to Bontoc depending on traffic conditions with 2-3 stopovers for toilet and meal breaks.

From Bontoc, just take the jeep bound for Tinglayan or Tabuk and hop off at Bugnay. Jeepney fare is P80.00 and sitting on the topload is one of the most scenic rides ever.

Jeepney travel time is 1 ½-2hrs. From Bugnay, you can do the 2 ½ hr hike or talk to the locals and hitch with a motorbike. However, motorbikes still cannot reach Buscalan, but the hike is shortened to a 1-hr hike.

You can do this option roundtrip, meaning to come back, you can do the hike/motorbike, then take a jeep back to Bontoc, then take the Coda Lines bus back to Manila.
