Updated Guidelines for Sagada

UPDATED GUIDELINES ON TOURISTENTRY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAGADA
In consonance with Sangguniang Bayan Resolution 32-2022, let it be known to the public that the following guidelines shall apply to tourists visiting the Municipality of Sagada:
1. Tourists must book at least a one-night stay in a DOT-accredited and LGU-certified accommodation establishment. A list of accommodation establishments authorized to operate may be accessed at https://lodging.sagada.gov.ph.

2. All tourists must be registered in the Umali Kayo Online Registration Portal which may be accessed at https://umali-kayo.sagada.gov.ph prior to arrival.
3. All tourists entering Sagada must present a vaccination card or vaccination certificate indicating completion of a vaccine regimen (i.e. full vaccination).
a. Those aged 11 and below shall be exempted from this requirement provided that they are accompanied by a parent or a guardian.
b. Unvaccinated tourists are required to present a negative RAT result
i. The negative RAT result shall be valid up to 1 day from date of release.
ii. The RAT test should have been taken from any medico- government office or any Philippine hospital.
iii. By virtue of Sangguniang Bayan Resolution No. 21-2022, RAT may be taken at the border control point of Sagada at Php 660 per test. Tourists in possession of FDA-approved RAT kits may opt to have their tests be administered by the Triage personnel with an operational cost of Php 200 per test. This shall only apply from 8AM to 5PM daily.
iv. Tourists arriving before 8AM or after 5PM may take their RAT at the Saint Theodore of Tarsus Hospital (STH).
v. If opted by the incoming tourist, a negative RT-PCR test result valid 48 hours since date of release may also be acknowledged as an alternative to RAT.4. Public transportation groups or corporations shall take the responsibility of checking if a tourist has complied with all requirements imposed by the Sagada LGU prior to boarding.
5. All tourists are advised to pay the registration fee of Php 100 (per individual) and undergo orientation at the Tourism Hub or Tourist Information Center.
6. Tourist sites open to tourists shall be specified in the Umali Kayo Registration Portal.
7. Tourists arriving after 5PM shall only be able to arrange their tours with the Municipal Tourism Office from 8AM to 5PM the following day, unless they have accomplished advanced booking of tours through Umali Kayo at https://tours.sagada.gov.ph or through prior coordination with the Municipal Tourism Office. Tourists found to have faked or falsified requirements shall be referred to the Sagada Municipal Police station for the filing of appropriate charges. The foregoing shall take effect immediately upon the release of this Advisory.
